How to Clone Your Avatar with Claude

Claude can help you build a reusable AI Character that looks and sounds like you. The process has two anchors: a clean character sheet generated from several photos, and a consented voice clone created with ElevenLabs or Cartesia through CreativeClaw.

Once saved, the Character can appear in new scenes without rebuilding your identity from scratch.

Step 1: connect CreativeClaw to Claude

Add the CreativeClaw connector in Claude, or install the CreativeClaw plugin if you use Claude Code. Complete the setup in the Claude connection guide.

Step 2: give Claude several reference images

Choose three to six clear, recent photos. Include front, three-quarter, side, and full-body views where possible. Keep your hair, facial hair, and overall look reasonably consistent across the set.

Avoid images with:

• beauty filters or face reshaping
• sunglasses or a face covered by hair
• hard shadows across the eyes
• motion blur or very low resolution
• other people close to you
• extreme camera angles

Upload the photos and tell Claude:

Import these images to CreativeClaw as visual references for a Character based
on me. Use all of them to understand the identity, but wait for my approval
before saving the final Character.

Step 3: ask Claude for a character sheet

Use a direct prompt that describes the production asset you want:

Generate a realistic character reference sheet of me from these images.
Place a full-body front view, three-quarter view, side profile, and back view
on a plain white background. Keep the face, body proportions, hair, clothing,
pose, and lighting consistent. Use a clean studio style with no text or labels.

Inspect the result at full size. Tell Claude exactly what needs correction, such as “the jaw is too narrow,” “the hairline changed,” or “the body proportions do not match the full-body reference.” Regenerate until you have one sheet you are comfortable using as your approved visual identity.

Step 4: add a cloned voice

Record one to two minutes of yourself speaking in your primary language. Include a calm introduction, an upbeat section, a serious explanation, an excited reaction, and a warm closing. Keep the performance natural and record in a quiet room.

Give Claude the file and say:

Upload this as a private CreativeClaw voice-cloning sample. Clone the voice
with Cartesia and attach it to the same Character as the approved character
sheet. This is my voice, and I explicitly consent to its processing and
cloning for use in my CreativeClaw workspace.

You can name ElevenLabs instead. CreativeClaw supports both:

• ElevenLabs for polished, expressive, multilingual narration
• Cartesia for fast Character speech with direct emotion, speed, and volume controls

Claude should keep the recording on CreativeClaw’s private voice-sample path. Only proceed if the speaker has explicitly approved the cloning and intended use.

Step 5: save the complete Character

Ask Claude to combine the approved assets:

Save a reusable CreativeClaw Character named "My Avatar." Use the approved
character sheet as the visual reference, add an accurate appearance and role
description, and attach the cloned voice. Return the saved Character name and ID.

The saved Character becomes a durable handle for future work. Its character sheet guides appearance, and its provider-hosted voice handles approved speech.

Step 6: create with the Character

Use my saved "My Avatar" Character to generate a realistic image of me
presenting at a small technology conference. Keep my identity consistent.

Create a talking-head clip with my Character introducing this feature.
Use the approved visual reference and cloned voice: [paste script]

Generate a calm voiceover with my Character's cloned voice. Do not generate
an image or video: [paste script]

For sensitive or commercial uses, make it clear when viewers are seeing or hearing synthetic media. Never use a Character to create a deceptive endorsement or impersonation.

Is a CreativeClaw Character a trained face model?

No. CreativeClaw saves the approved character sheet as a reusable visual reference and combines it with the Character description when generating media. It does not train a separate custom face model in this workflow.

Can Claude create videos with my avatar and cloned voice?

Yes. Ask Claude to use the saved Character’s visual reference for the video and its cloned voice for the script. Specify the scene, framing, duration, aspect ratio, and speaking style.

Can I change or remove the Character later?

Yes. Claude can update the saved Character’s title, description, or character sheet through CreativeClaw. Deleting the Character also removes its associated cloned provider voices and private voice samples.
